The BMW N73 is a V12 petrol engine produced from 2003 to 2015. It was the first BMW production engine to feature direct fuel injection (High Precision Injection) in a V12. It powered the E65/E66 760i/Li and Rolls-Royce Phantom. The engine had an aluminium 60° V12 block, DOHC, Valvetronic, and Double VANOS. Displacement 6.0 litres, power up to 445 hp.
It was exceptionally smooth and powerful. The complexity of the injection and Valvetronic systems required skilled maintenance. With proper care, lifespan can exceed 250,000 km.
